Truly a sad day. I feel for David's dad and can't imagine what he is going through right now. My prayers go out to him along with Davids boys.

A friend of mine passed away recently who had young children. We all wanted to share our memories with her very young children. Everyone wrote their favorite memory (and just general memories)about their mother and gave them to the children's father. When the children are old enough to understand, they can read our memories of their mother that they didn't get a chance to know. An opportunity that we each had received in life. Just an idea for David's boys.

Just yesterday, I heard the news about David and was shocked and deeply saddened. Thank you to Pam Paden for calling me to tell me the news. I just saw David last January where we spent a day in LA reminiscing about old times. It was a wonderful day hanging out by the beach, good food and wine, and shopping! It had been nearly 15 years since I had seen him, but David hadn't changed a bit, always smiling and making others smile and laugh, and we picked up where we had left off all those years ago. I am grateful for having that day with David. I will never forget him.

I learned of Sondra's death today and it saddened me even more. I knew she had been ill for some time and I am thankful that she is now without pain and suffering and is enjoying a beautiful day with her son. I pray for his father, Gavin, who is surely in need of a great deal of support. I lost my husband 7 years ago, and at the time my children were 6 years old and 16 months old. It was a difficult time but with the support of friends and family we were able to get through it and move on.

Thank you for creating this blog for David.

Dave was one of the greatest guys had the biggest heart of any person I ever met. I will miss this guy a ton and know he is making heaven more fun now that he is there.

Not the best way to start a Monday. It is very sad to hear of David's passing. I last saw David in OP, KS at Oak Park Mall, shortly after graduation. I believe he was manager or owner at a store there. We had a very nice chat. I did not know David very well but always looked up to him. My thoughts and prayers are with David's family and friends.

I am in shock over the news of Dave. My heart goes out to his family, and his friends. I met Dave through Daron Hall, and feel very lucky to have known Dave. I will always remember the fun, crazy and great times I shared with Dave! He is one in a million and will be missed tremendously!

I had the pleasure of working with Dave at Wild Rocket and I had fun sitting right next to him. Over a short few months, I got to know him and he really was a great person. He loved his family and kids and that was real apparent to me. Before he went to see his Mom last week, he left a sticky note on my desk by accident. It said, "Spiderman custom and baseball glove". I asked him what it meant and he said, “I have to bring these things back home for my son”. He called and said, "Dad, I need this stuff, don't forget them". And he laughed while repeating, I need them dad… I am sure Dave remembered this as he went back home.

Dave was a thoughtful person; he was a great co-worker and friend. I loved his sense of humor cuz even if he wasn’t having a great day, he would still find a reason to laugh and make you laugh. He really helped the day pass by and many of us will remember that red button on his desk which was soooo cheesy & loud, and somehow he seemed to always have a reason to push that thing... So in this loud weird voice you heard, "That was easy". Lol. He did it to make himself laugh but I think he did it even more to make others laugh too and somehow it worked every time. Dave will be missed by many of us here at Wild Rocket Foods and our thoughts and prayers go out to his dad, wife and kids...

it was a beautiful service today and Liz Hardesty said that David would have loved having so many old friends together. Mark and Daron truly honored Dave with their words.
